Inspired by Trend Forecasting presentations at Outdoor Retailer Winter Online 2021, I spent two weeks doing print development for one of my favorite pieces of apparel: Patagonia Baggies. This project was nostalgic for me by throwing me back into my apparel design roots, making me brush off those toss, repeat & scale pattern skills. The majority of inspiration came from the 2021 trend forecasts from Pantone, WGSN & InMouv. Today, even prints & patterns can have meaning beyond pretty colors & trendy aesthetics.
